hey now, what this you may ask? In today’s connected world most decisions are being made after experiencing your brand in the digital space. In today’s digital era it is important to understand Digital Branding to serve your clients or for the prime benefit of your own business, startup or even for a solopreneur journey.
I have taken some of the points from Digipple, Digital Branding Institute and have given my own thought and inputs to make it more clear, so that we understand the term with more clarity and much better understanding.
All this while and my previous articles I have written about What is Branding?, How to achieve a great visual brand?, Solopreneur’s journey. But in today’s article am covering about the term Digital Branding and I have broken this down to 4 Steps to understand the term better and get more clarity.
Step One – What is Brand, Branding & Brand Identity.
In order to understand the word digital branding, the first thing we need to get clear with these terms. So here we go, we know by now that brand is the way the outside world perceives your company. Branding is the process of designing and building a unique and memorable brand. Brand identity is the set of creative elements that fed into the branding process, like your website, social media and logo to convey your company’s purpose, value and mission.
In order to understand the word digital branding, the first thing we need to get clear with these terms. So here we go –

- Focuses on attracting people / Branding is about giving values
- Focus on strategies to increase revenue / Focus on building personality and brand reputation
- Attracts one time sales / Builds long term relationship and loyalty with customer.
Step 4 – Concept As A Whole – Digital Branding
By now we are clear that digital branding is not done only for sale but for awareness, reach, building potential customers, loyalty and life-long relationship. This is done so by using great stunning creative visuals in form of logo design, website, social media channels, and anywhere a user is about to experience your brand, digitally. They also involve the below four key points….
- Build a digital brand story
- Creativity in digital media and marketing
- Digital channels to reach customers
- Creating digital awareness and relationships
